Dr. Anupama Maruvada is a highly accomplished psychologist and behavior therapist with a strong academic foundation and extensive professional experience. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University, USA, where her research emphasized early intervention and developmental progress in children with autism spectrum disorder. Her academic achievements also include a Master’s in Family and Consumer Sciences (Child Life and Family Studies) from Illinois State University, USA, and a Master’s in Human Development from Sri Avinashilingam Deemed University, India. Early in her career, Dr. Maruvada received a Tamil Nadu State Government grant for her thesis on "Educational Aspirations of Young Adolescents in Urban and Rural Areas," earning the prestigious State-level Best Presentation Award in Social Sciences in 1999. In 2008, she founded CBT2 – Child and Adult Behavior Therapy With Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Bangalore, with the vision of providing accessible, effective mental health services. CBT2 is structured around two key areas: a specialized early intervention center for autism and a holistic psychological evaluation and treatment center. At CBT2, the focus is on addressing developmental delays during the critical early years, known as the "golden age" for stimulation. Leveraging the benefits of early intervention, the center helps children achieve developmental milestones and integrate into mainstream schools whenever possible. In addition, CBT2 provides comprehensive psychological evaluations and treatments for conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, learning disabilities, and relationship challenges, including marital counseling. She has founded Minds & MIlestones LLC in U.S.A in 2025, providing services as life coach and autism coach. Dr. Maruvada also contributes her expertise as a visiting consultant to healthcare and educational institutions, delivering guest lectures on crucial topics like postpartum depression, developmental delays, and parenting strategies. Her commitment to community awareness is evident in the large-scale autism and behavior therapy campaigns she has organized, impacting thousands and fostering a greater understanding of mental health needs. The success of CBT2 lies in its personalized, evidence-based approach, achieving a 99% success rate in addressing developmental and psychological challenges.
